POSH External Member Empanelment

Every Internal Committee must have an External Member (often called NGO member) in order to be compliant with the sexual harassment Act.

The Law mentions the following qualifiers for being an External Member:

• someone who is committed to the cause of women
• someone who has experience in the field of social work related to women empowerment or ideally, related to sexual harassment in the workplace
• someone who is familiar with labour, service, civil or criminal law
