Employer Duties
Under the POSH Act 2013 (Section 19), every employer is entrusted with the responsibility and duty to implement anti-sexual harassment measures in their workplace.
Each obligation has specific set of rules and criteria that must be fulfilled in order to be compliant with the POSH Act.
Key Employer Duties Under POSH Act
- Create an anti-sexual harassment policy (POSH Policy)
- Constitute 'Internal Committee' to address complaints
- Train 'Internal Committee' members so that they're well versed with their roles and duties
- Display notices for awareness
- Conduct policy awareness and gender sensitisation programmes for employees
- Submit Annual Reports to the specified District Officer
